Division Resources

Public relations efforts put Ohio travel information into the hands of potential travelers in the pages of national, regional and local newspapers and magazines; on the airwaves of radio and television; and online on the Internet. The goal of the Division public relations office is to work with Ohio's tourism industry and media across the country, Canada and beyond to produce highly credible press coverage that bolsters Ohio's So much to Discover! brand and tourism message far beyond what can be accomplished or afforded with paid advertising.

We offer the following partnership opportunities to help us all make the most of our communications dollars and garner the highest-quality coverage for Ohio's extensive travel and tourism offerings.

The following areas of the public relations focus are organized to provide Ohio tourism industry members with a comprehensive overview of available partnership opportunities, resources and information.

Media Opportunities: Includes an Editorial Calendar of Division releases and dates for public relations activities; information on Division-led Media Missions and Press Tours; and an area to submit your Press Tours and Press Releases for potential posting on Ohio's online Press Room.

Media Leads: Ohio tourism industry members may sign up to receive leads (information requests) via e-mail from media seeking information through the Division. This is a free service.

Publications: Information on advertising, editorial and events for the Ohio Travel Planner and Ohio Calendar of Events.

B-Roll Participant Packages: The Division is offering Ohio Travel Industry members the opportunity to have B-roll shot in your area by a professional crew at a reduced rate and/or to have existing B-roll footage added (at the Division's discretion) to the Ohio B-roll Library.

Legislative Affairs: Learn more about Division programs and efforts designed to work with the travel industry associations to communicate the impact of travel and tourism in Ohio.

Resource Materials: Designed to offer both beginner and experienced PR professionals with programs that can help bolster any PR effort.

Public Relations Staff: A listing of public relations personnel and contact information.

Destination Video: The nearly 3-minute-long 29.2 MB Windows Media Video (WMV) visually showcases Ohio as "Too Much Fun for Just One Day."
