The Division is holding five town hall meetings throughout the state to roll out our new marketing opportunities for 2010 and 2011. Industry partners are encouraged to attend one of the meetings to learn about programs available to help you stretch your marketing dollars including: co-op advertising, interactive media, media missions, research, Ohio travel publications and more.
Following are dates and locations for the town hall meetings.
Please RSVP to Joy Doty (by dates indicated below) at joy.doty@development.ohio.gov and remember to indicate which session you plan to attend.
To have your qualified Ohio tourism event considered for inclusion in the printed 2011 Spring/Summer Ohio Calendar of Events (100,000 quantity printed), please submit/update your information in the DiscoverOhio.com/Buckeye Database by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3.
Thanks to the tourism entities that submitted a listing by the July 23 deadline to be considered for the 2011 Ohio Travel Planner, the state’s official travel guide.
The next step in the process is that the publisher, Great Lakes Publishing, will send an e-mail on Aug. 25 (or soon after) asking for verification that the listing is accurate before it is printed in the planner. The e-mail will come from webmaster@glpublishing.com and the subject line will be "2011 Ohio Travel Planner Verification".
If the publisher does not receive a response during this verification process, the listing will not be published in the planner. Although the Ohio Tourism Division makes every effort to include all of the listings in the planner, due to size limitations of the book some listings may not be able to be included.
